2. Our Sustainable Brands/Models

To give you an overview of our brands/models, we have summarized them in a list with their sustainable features:

HORIZN STUDIOS:

• Durable materials, timeless design,
• by 2021 all suitcases are to be made 100% from recycled fabrics,
• Suitcase production is 99% waste-free,
• Vegan manufacturing: All products of the brand are PETA Approved Vegan produced. For this, the company received the Vegan Travel Award.
• in 2020. Additionally, the luggage is not shipped in single-use plastic, and the entire company logistics operate CO2-neutral.

SAMSONITE SELECTION Spark ECO:

• Textiles made exclusively from recycled PET bottles,
• Handles, logo, etc. made from natural cork materials.

AMERICAN TOURISTER Eco Wanderer:

• Made 100% from recyclable materials,
• regardless of size, at least 27 PET bottles were reused for each suitcase.
• Specifically designed for flexibility and durability.

3. Materials

Polypropylene (PP)

If plastic, then polypropylene. If you choose a Hard-shell Suitcase, we recommend paying attention to this material: PP is perfect for energy recycling and ecologically correct reuse. 

Polyethylene terephthalate

This so-called thermoplastic is produced from recycled plastic bottles. Suitcases made from PET are excellent for air travel because they are very light and robust. The elastic surface can easily be pressed back into shape after dents. PET from recycled plastic bottles is especially durable, the perfect ecological balance.
