Regarding ergonomics, don't forget: packing the school backpack correctly

A properly packed school bag provides great relief for your child's back. The list of things your child needs daily at school is long; store everything optimally to relieve your child's back on the way to school:

• Store heavy items, such as school books, close to the back.
• The Step by Step notebook box ensures neat and clean notebooks and folders. It is placed in front of the school books in the backpack.

The backpacks undergo strict quality controls. The brand places special emphasis on durable materials. In addition, Step by Step also pays attention to critical ingredients in the materials.

Sustainability

Step by Step produces all products climate-neutral. The CO2 emissions are offset through climate protection projects. For example, the brand supports the protection of the Brazilian rainforest. Each year, they protect 3,000 hectares from slash-and-burn and deforestation.

In addition, Step by Step commits to resource- and environmentally friendly production through its bluesign partnership. This partnership checks air emissions, water emissions, occupational health and safety, resource productivity, and consumer safety.

Since 2019, all Step by Step products are made entirely from recycled Polyethylenterephthalat bottles.

In the SPACE model, Step by Step processes 37 Polyethylenterephthalat bottles, in the CLOUD 36, and in the 2in1 34. They also use Polyethylenterephthalat bottles for accessories: a sports bag contains 97.7 and a chest pouch 0.8.

This is how a school backpack is made from a Polyethylenterephthalat bottle:

1. The Polyethylenterephthalat bottles are collected, cleaned, and sorted.
2. The cleaned bottles are shredded into granules.
3. Yarn is made from the granules.
4. Textiles are made from the yarn, from which the school backpacks are made.

The limited edition model CLOUD OCEAN is made from 100% recycled ocean plastic. A complete set from this series was made from 1 kilogram of ocean waste.
