General information

Before we discuss the arrangement of the front and back sides of the suitcase, we would like to give you some general tips in advance. When packing, orient yourself according to the direction of the weight when the suitcase is standing or lying down. For this reason, we recommend packing heavy items in the lower part of the back side toward the wheels. Light items should generally be placed on the upper front side toward the handle. This way, you avoid pressure creases and the heavy items do not crush the lighter clothing.

With good organisation, you ensure more space and fewer creases in your clothes.

The back side

The weight of heavy contents at the bottom of the suitcase provides reliable stability when standing. Another advantage of this placement is that the weight does not press down on lighter items, such as clothing, which are more prone to creases and pressure marks.

Examples of these heavy and/or bulky items that you should place at the back include:

  • - Shoes
  • - Books
  • - Thick knitwear / jackets, etc.
  • - Large cotton hand and bath towels
  • - Toiletry bag with cosmetics and care products (depending on size and quantity)

We recommend placing the toiletry bag in the center inside the suitcase, not at the edge. This way, glass containers are less likely to break if the suitcase bumps against edges or walls.

The front side

Due to the light weight, the suitcase remains balanced when set down, stands stably on its feet or wheels, and delicate items like crease-prone clothing have enough space.

Examples of these light items that you should place at the front include:

  • - Clothing, underwear, socks
  • - Hand and bath towels made of thin microfiber
  • - Sunglasses in a case
  • - Other small items

Pay attention to this arrangement to avoid unsightly creases on your clothes and to be able to set your suitcase down without it tipping over.
